The DNR will hold an open house meeting to hear public comment on proposed sunfish regulation changes for Bear Head and Low Lakes in St Louis County on October 15 from 6 to 8 PM at the Tower Civic Center, 404 Pine St, Tower, MN. Capacity will be limited to no more than 10 total indoors at any point in time, per MDH social gathering guidelines. Comments can also be submitted through October 25 by calling the DNR fisheries office at 218-300-7802, emailing edie.evarts@state.mn.us, or via on-line survey at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fish/sunfish/index.html.

The regular City Council Meeting on September 15, 2020 was called to order by Mayor Novak at 5:30pm.

Debeltz/Callen moved to approve the minutes from the September 1, 2020 Regular Council Meeting. Motion Carried Unanimously.

The Special City Council Meeting on September 29, 2020 was called to order by Mayor Novak ay 5:00pm.

PRESENT: Council members A.Forsman, Kess, Debeltz, Omerza, Callen, Campbell, and Mayor Novak.
Absent: None

OLD BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS
A. Quotes for demo of 16 W Sheridan St – Looney’s (Quotes are due Tuesday, September 29th) Demo Quotes
Kess/A.Forsman moved to approve the quote from G-Men Environmental Services for $22,900 for the Demolition of 16 West Sheridan St. Motion Carried Unanimously.

B. Debeltz/Callen moved to hire Maxwell Brewer with conditional offer for police officer pending results of background investigation and physical with estimated start date of mid to end October. Motion Carried Unanimously

The Ely HRA is soliciting bids for Snow & Ice Removal for the upcoming season for our Northwoods Townhomes Property.
The property consists of 26 each... driveways, sidewalks, and back patios. A fire path is also needed in back and we will provide the salt.
The addresses are as follows:
302-312 N. 8th Ave. E.
301-301 N. 10th Ave. E.
802-932 E. Washington St.
Bids must be received at the HRA office at 114 N. 8th Ave. E. #111 Ely, MN 55731 by 3:00 p.m. on October 12, 2020.
