Rosemary Larson passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the age of 89.

She was born on February 12, 1936 to Rose & Simon Blum of Nashwauk, MN. Rosemary graduated from Greenway High School in 1954. She was united in Marriage to William Larson in 1956 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk, MN. They built a home on Birch Lake near Babbitt, MN and lived there for over 60 years. Rosemary spent most of her time raising her two children and later worked in the Medical Records Dept. at the Ely-Bloomenson Hospital and St. Peter Clinic where she then went on to retire.

Rosemary’s hobbies included sewing, cross-country skiing, skating and many other outdoor activities. She loved working with dogs and helped train therapy dogs. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing and a former member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Babbitt.

Rosemaryissurvivedbyherhusband of nearly 70 years, William N. Larson; two children, Carolyn (Duane) Swanson and Dale (Holly) Larson; six Grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Rose Blum, a brother, James Blum, and a granddaughter, Rose Mary Larson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 1 p.m. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at the Nashwauk Cemetery in Nashwauk, MN.
