Gary J. Starkman, 80, of Ely passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at his home.

He was born on March 18, 1944 in Ely, MN to Richard and Erma (Dyhr) Starkman.  He was a US Navy Veteran serving on Nuclear Submarines.  On February 7, 1964 he married Delores Voss.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Sherry) and Dan; two grandchildren, Dylan and Danica and one sister, Kathy Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Delores.

Private services will be held and burial will be in White Iron Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
