Ely Community Resource will hold the 48th annual ECR Art Auction fundraiser on Saturday, March 21 starting at 4:30 p.m. at Ely’s Historic State Theater. Tickets are $20. The live auction starts at 6 p.m.
At the Ely Public Library on Tuesday, March 24 at 3 p.m. the program will be Hey, It’s a Holiday : Play the Recorder Month – for ages 10 and up. Are you musical? Try learning (or relearning) the recorder with Jessie. You’ll get an introduction to the fingering and some simple songs. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
At the Ely Public Library on Wednesday, March 25 at 2:15 p.m. the program will be Library Scientists: Pi – geared toward fourth – sixth graders. Let’s learn about pi! (not pie-no forks needed) Learn about the use of pi, the value of pi, and ways to calculate it. Please register in advance. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
The next Braver Angels Gathering will be on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center, the topic will be voting.
At the Ely Public Library on Thursday, March 26 at 1 p.m. the program will be Curiosity Cohort: Basic Embroidery – for adults and older teens. Make a small night sky scene while learning some basic embroidery stitches with Rachel – including cross-stitch, back stitch, chain stitch, satin stitch, and the Algerian star eyelet stitch. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
Heart of the Woods Quilters will hold a Trunk Show on Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m., Judy Martin will present a lecture and trunk show entitled “Fabulous Feedsacks” at Ledgerock Community Church, 1515 East Camp Street.
Everyone is welcome to play MahJong at the Ely Community Center on Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.
